Alignment Viewer

Built for the horizontal questions that burn curb & gutter and stringless prep. Load a LandXML and inspect the plan — without needing a full civil CAD seat to answer basic geometry questions.

What you can do

  • See if geometry is real — Lines, true curves, and spirals on a plan map with an element table (type, length, radius, stations). Catch segmented approximations or bad arcs before they cost you on the machine.
  • Select from the master XML — Turn alignments on or off, pick what matters, and export a smaller LandXML subset instead of shipping the entire design file every time.
  • Units up front — Clear unit readout so feet vs meters confusion is visible early.
  • Plan tools crews expect — Zoom, pan, extents, multi-alignment load. Read-only on the design — inspect and hand off, don’t rewrite the model.
Why it exists: Master LandXML files are often huge and mixed quality. Alignment Viewer is the window for horizontal data so you confirm the geometry you’re about to pave, then pull only the lines you need into a smaller file.

Profile Viewer

Vertical geometry is where a lot of field pain lives: missing profiles, empty lines, or profiles that don’t match the alignment length. Profile Viewer lets you open that data without Civil 3D and without guessing.

What you can do

  • Confirm profiles exist — See vertical geometry from the design model on the lines you care about.
  • Match against the alignment — Catch length / station mismatches early — before the crew is on site waiting.
  • Plain view of what’s wrong — Enough to explain the problem to the office or designer without a CAD lecture.
Why it exists: Plan view alone isn’t enough. If the profile is missing or doesn’t line up with the alignment you’re paving, you need to know that in the trailer — not on the stringless.

XML to ProVAL

Takes a LandXML with vertical profiles and builds one text file per alignment at 1 ft station intervals — ready to bring into ProVAL for an official ride-quality report.

What you get

  • LandXML in → ProVAL-ready text out — No multi-step CAD export chain for the handoff.
  • Immediate ProVAL handoff — Open the text in ProVAL and run the report your process already trusts.
  • Saves CAD work — Field and QC can get design profiles into ProVAL without living in Civil 3D.
Why it exists: Getting design profile data into ProVAL often burns hours of CAD time. This path keeps the official report in ProVAL without babysitting exports.
